LED cube is one of the projects that hobbyists create in various ways. Since the dots of light are arranged in three-dimensional space, it is possible to interact differently from the monitor screen.
LED cubes generally remained hobby projects and didn't have any usability or meaning. It simply displays points, lines, planes, or curves created by a microcontroller.
A very large-scale work could draw 3D shapes or images created by a computer, but it could not make sophisticated images due to the resolution because of the limited numbers of voxels. Above all, the main problem was too many numbers of LEDs, materials, and the volume of the cube. The goal is to aim at the middle of those two areas.
